| Creating your own category icons for Agenda Fusion Use any graphics editor (typically on your desktop PC) capable of saving bitmap (*.BMP) files (iMicrosoft Paint works just fine for this purpose) Create the image to be approximately 9 to 12 pixels wide by 10 to 13 pixels high. If you are using a VGA resolution device, you might choose a size of about 18 x 20. Draw your image using the paint program. Once you're finished, fill in all areas in the image that you would like to be transparent, with the color Green (RGB equivalent = 0,255,0)
Save your image as a bitmap (*.BMP) file. The name is not important (i.e. mynewicon.bmp) is fine. Connect your Pocket PC and open ActiveSync on your desktop PC to explore the file contents of your Pocket PC. Click the "Explore" button. Navigate to the folder in which the Agenda Fusion icons are located. Note, there are two folders that Agenda Fusion uses on the Pocket PC for category icons. One folder is used to store the source icons (the ones that you select from to assign to a category) and the category icons in use. To determine which folder on your Pocket PC you should copy your icons to, start Agenda Fusion and go into the main menu under Manage->Categories. In this screen, click on the "Category Icons" button at the bottom of the display. Now, click the folder icon at the bottom. This will display the current folder on your Pocket PC that is used to hold the source category icons (the default used is \Program Files\Agenda Fusion\Agenda Fusion Sample Icons which should be fine.) Now, using the ActiveSync explorer from your desktop PC, copy the *.bmp files into this folder on your Pocket PC. To assign your new icons to categories, go to the main Agenda Fusion menu (the Agenda Fusion icon at the bottom of the display), select Manage->Categories. Tap "Category Icons" and you should now see your new icon added to the list. Drag and drop the icon to the name of the category you would like to assign this icon to. Back to FAQs |
